Summer Subway

Some summer subway drawings. Here a a few of my subway drawings from the last month. In the summer I do fewer subway sketches because I'm not in the city as much and I ride my bike to work. At this point I have about 4,000 sketches of commuters. to see the subway sketches and some of the paintings done from the sketches:

The sketches are all done with pencil in small sketchbooks and lately I've been coloring and reworking  them digitally.

Digital Repeats

Lately I've been using Corel Painter to draw in repeat (mostly in a 1/2 drop repeat) and then combining the drawings with plaids in Photoshop. It can get quite obsessive, especially late at night "just one more drawing"—wait that's sounding addictive not obsessive! Who needs computer games when you have computer graphics programs? Oh well, here are a few of the results:
